The activities of the IEEE AFROS 2024 conference concluded on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, after three days of scientific exchanges held in the downtown auditorium. This event brought together researchers and experts from 19 countries, offering a global scientific platform to discuss advanced applications of operations research.
The scientific content of the conference covered a wide range of topics, including advanced algorithms, artificial intelligence, data analytics, as well as contemporary challenges in fields such as sustainability, financial markets, healthcare systems, and logistics services. The role of operations research was emphasized, particularly in finding solutions to development challenges in Africa and globally.

The closing session of the event was attended by several prominent figures from the academic and scientific communities, including pr.Ali Hamza Cherif, Vice Rector of the University; Prof. Rouisset Boucherit, Director of the Higher School of Applied Sciences; Prof. Salim Karaii, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Technology; Prof. Mehdi Souier, President of the Organizing Committee; and Prof. Mohammed Miliani, Director of the Industrial Engineering Lab (MELT).
